At Wholeness Psychology Centre, we know the value of comprehensive assessments.
That's why we offer a variety of assessments for both children and adults.
At Wholeness Psychology Centre, we provide assessments for various challenges and ages.

And with a dedicated assessment team, you can get answers to behaviour and challenges you or someone you love is facing.

For adults: assessments increase understanding and help you make decisions about your abilities and functioning at work, within your relationships, and with family members.

These assessments and the diagnosis often come years after you first start struggling - so you can finally experience the sense of clarity and relief.

For children: assessments help you get the answers you need. Giving parents a greater understanding of a child's behaviour and/or academic performance, and your child can finally get the necessary support.

Assessment is the first step to accessing support and includes targeted recommendations. Our psychologists can also work directly with school teams if requested.

ADHD (ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER) AND BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENTS
ADHD is a brain disorder identified by an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity. These
patterns interfere with functioning or development at school, work, or relationships.
Understanding your child's needs can make all the difference for their future.

Symptoms for child ADHD and adult ADHD include struggles with focus and concentration, hyperactivity, disorganization, and emotional regulation at school and home.

Individuals may seek out ADHD assessments for several reasons, including:
  • Being referred for assessments by teachers or guidance counsellors who have concerns about a student's performance
  • Reading about the symptoms of ADHD and recognizing them in your child or yourself. Adults with ADHD may experience similar symptoms at work and home
ADHD assessment is a multi-step process involving clinical examination, interview, behavioural and social observations, and completion of rating scales.

Assessment of ADHD typically includes a comprehensive evaluation of information gathered from several sources, including parents/caregivers, family members, teachers, and partners.

A child and adult ADHD assessment can help you secure a diagnosis,
access medications (if needed), as well as get a range of recommendations to support your success or that of your partner or child.
