Ashima is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who works with adults, teens, and couples navigating a range of emotional, relational, and psychological challenges. She has experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, relationship issues, grief and loss, life transitions, gender identity, and academic stress.
Ashima’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and strengths-based interventions. She is committed to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care and strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.
Ashima’s diverse clinical background includes working in school systems, community programs, and government services, where she has provided individual therapy, facilitated group sessions, and led wellness initiatives for youth and families.
Ashima is especially skilled at supporting clients through periods of uncertainty, emotional dysregulation, and personal growth. Ashima believes that healing and growth happen through authentic connection and is passionate about helping clients build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Ashima is available weekdays, evenings, and weekends for in-person, phone and video sessions at the Wholeness Psychology Sherwood Park office.
