At Wholeness Psychology Centre, we provide assessments for mental health and various challenges for a variety ages.
And with a dedicated assessment team, you can get answers to behaviour, challenges and mental health conditions you or someone you love is facing.
For adults: a full assessment will increase understanding and help you make decisions about your abilities and functioning at work, within your relationships, and with family members.
These assessments and the diagnosis often come years after you first start struggling - so you can finally experience the sense of clarity and relief.
For children: assessments help you get the answers you need. Giving parents a greater understanding of a child's behaviour and/or academic performance, and your child can finally get the necessary support.
Assessment is the first step to accessing support and includes targeted recommendations. Our psychologists can also work directly with school teams if requested.

Mental Health Assessments are often provided when there is a concern that mental health issues or mental illness significantly affect a person's mental state and/or social, academic, or work performance. Often, the exact nature of the underlying problem is not well understood, or there are conflicting opinions about what is happening and what should be done to help.

Mental health assessments can provide helpful information and insight into behavioural problems, emotional issues, and cognitive difficulties.
Our psychological assessments can provide a comprehensive analysis and assist with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning.

Often, the exact nature of the underlying problem is not well understood, or there are conflicting opinions about what is happening and what should be done to help. Mental health concerns are identified during the assessment process and our formal assessments, including the final report will give you direction on how to move forward.
A mental health assessment can help act as a screening too and clarify whether mental health symptoms are linked to a specific result, broader mental health problems, or another mental health concern that needs further support. This process may include input from a mental health professional, the use of a screening tool or brief survey, and a detailed review of functioning across home, school, work, and daily life.
Mental health evaluations can provide helpful information and insight into behavioural problems, emotional issues, and cognitive difficulties. Mental health care is not always linear, psychological testing and assessments can give you a road map for working with a mental health therapist.

An assessment or screening tool may be helpful if mental health problems are affecting daily life, relationships, school, work, or your ability to enjoy life. It can also help if you are unsure what kind of support, treatment or self help is most appropriate.
Assessments can support adolescent patients, adults, and older adults who may be struggling with emotional, behavioural, or psychological concerns. They can also help you better understand symptoms and find the help and treatment you need moving forward.
When we assess people we can help clarify mental health problems, emotional concerns, and patterns linked to past experiences. It may also help determine whether resources and support from a mental health specialist or another health care provider would be beneficial moving forward in life.
After the assessment, you will receive feedback and recommendations to help guide next steps and possibly treatment. At this point we recommend follow up care, therapy, referrals, risk management or other services designed to connect you or your loved one with the right help.
